New Car Dealers Foundation of BC

Incorporated in the Province of British Columbia in 1990, the Foundation was renamed “New Car Dealers Foundation of BC” in 2003.

The Foundation exists to provide CarCareerBC grants and scholarships to young people for automotive industry programs that lead to work at car dealership and supports other charities throughout B.C. where local dealers are involved. The Annual Industry Gala at the Vancouver International Auto Show raises funds for the Foundation’s charitable activities. Members and associate members contribute to the Foundation through their participation in certain Association events throughout the year.

Funding contributions have also been provided to Georgian College, Special Olympics BC, University of Victoria, SOS Children’s Village BC, Thompson River, Okanagan College, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, and BCIT.

The Foundation is a significant contributor to Special Olympics BC (SOBC). SOBC is dedicated to providing opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their pursuit with sports training and competition.

New Car Dealer Association Members, through the Foundation, are the largest single financial supporter of SOBC and also reward B.C.’s Olympic athletes with assistance in purchasing or leasing new vehicles and with discounts on service, parts, and repairs.
