As kids return to school and the summer officially winds down, cooler weather will soon be upon us – and dare I say, the winter season will be here before we know it. And now is actually the perfect time to get ahead of everyone else. Early preparation not only ensures your safety on the road but also provides several other benefits that can save you time money, and stress.
The first reason is obvious to any savvy shopper, regardless of the product — shopping for snow tires in early fall guarantees access to the best selection and pricing, especially at your local new car dealership. As winter draws nearer, the demand for snow tires increases, which can lead to limited availability and higher prices. In British Columbia, winter tires or chains are required on many routes, effective October 1, while in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island where rain is prevalent, it’s worth noting that winter tires are specifically designed to enhance performance in wet and icy conditions, making them ideal for all winter weather.
